Is Hayat Protection tax deductible?
Family Protection, Critical Care and Illness Recovery covers are generally not tax deductible for most taxpayers when insuring themselves. Loss of Income cover premiums, however, are generally tax deductible if paid out-of-pocket, whether you are insured with Hejaz or any other insurer.
If you are purchasing Family Protection and Critical Care for business purposes, then your tax situation may differ. In this case, and for all queries about taxation, we recommend you seek advice from your accountant or financial adviser.
