My conventional super fund offers Ethical and Socially responsible investments, are they Islamic?

Choose investment with purpose and conviction

Islamic investments differ significantly from ethical or socially responsible investments, as they are subject to a much higher level of screening and filtering to meet the strict principles of Sharia law. Unlike ethical or socially responsible investments that may only exclude industries such as tobacco and military, Islamic investments go above and beyond to screen out companies that do not align with Islamic principles around debt, assets, and income. This also means excluding industries such as alcohol, gambling, pornography, and conventional financial institutions.

It's important to note that just because an investment is classified as ethical or socially responsible, it does not automatically guarantee compliance with Sharia law. Choose investments that align with both your values and your faith, choose Islamic investments.
